Philippians 3:12 says, “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me”.
My personal interpretation: We are not perfect and there will be struggles in life, we believe and pray, talk to God and Jesus, not to make ourselves our lives better or ourselves perfect. But we talk to Jesus through our struggle and mistakes, to let him help us get through our problems, struggles and mistakes.
We thank God and Jesus that we were put on this earth by Him, because our struggles and mistakes do not define us. His grace is bigger than our sins. We were put on earth not to just get through the day, but to do good and praise Him. The rest is up to God’s will, if we can be strong on earth and keep our faith in him, ask in Him to stay on the right path in His eyes, we can meet Him one day. That is the ultimate goal, to let His grace and goodness guide us in our lives on earth so we can meet Him in the afterlife.
God never promised an easy life on earth. He promised an afterlife with Him if we praise, pray and let Him guide us everyday.
Prayer: Jesus, I pray to you for you to guide me everyday to be the person you want me to be, keep me and my family on the right path, so one day, we can spend the rest of eternity with you. Amen
