A Student from the University of Michigan decided that even though he was not a citizen, he is going to vote in the 2024 election.
Accord to the Detroit Free Press, this student was allowed to register as a citizen online, he later admitted to police that he walked into his voting poll location to vote, illegally. The student is being prosecuted, but since votes cannot be removed one casted in the election, his vote is still being counted in this election.
Michigan law, states that to vote, a person need a proof I.D., like a driver’s license.
The loop hole is, that any non citizen can get a driver’s licence or state I .D.
You do not need to be a citizen to obtain a driver’s licence or state I.D. You also do not need to be a citizen to have a social security number as long as you are a legal resident.
As long as you are in the United States under permanent status law, you can have a social security number and a state I.D. Which is actually fine, there are millions of normal legal immigrants that have an I.D and social security number, but this should not give them the right to vote.

The prosecution for this case responded with “Anyone who attempts to vote faces significant consequences, including but not limited to arrest and prosecution.”
This student that admitted to illegally voting will be prosecuted. But how often do these situations occur? When someone votes illegally, then admits to it?
Also, do you think that this person that voted illegally would be prosecuted if he did not come forth on his own? And the kicker is, after all this, his vote is being counted towards the 2024 election.
Because the state of Mich cannot locate a specific tabulation, the vote of this non citizen will be counted. Is this a isolated case, or is this happening all over the country, but not being noticed?
