Joe Biden has pardoned his son Hunter Biden against all of his criminal charges tonight.
Even though Joe Biden has repeatedly and publicly stated that he would not pardon his son Hunter against his criminal convictions, today Joe did it. Hunter Biden could have faced up to 17 years in prison for his tax crimes and illegal firearms charges, until he was pardoned by his father, Joe Biden.

The U.S Dep of Justice listed several indictments against Hunter Biden, it states that he:
“spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle rather than paying his tax bills;”
“subverted the payroll and tax withholding process of his own company by withdrawing millions outside of the payroll and tax withholding process;”
“in 2018, stopped paying his outstanding and overdue taxes for tax year 2015;”
Fox News also mentions Hunter’s other charges, stating that “Hunter Biden, 54, has had a busy year in court, kicking off his first trial in Delaware in June, when he faced three felony firearm offenses, before he pleaded guilty in a separate felony tax case in September. “
Joe Biden also made a statement after the pardon, according to Voyage News.
“There has been an effort to break Hunter – who has been five and a half years sober, even in the face of unrelenting attacks and selective prosecution,” the 82-year-old father wrote.
“In trying to break Hunter, they’ve tried to break me – and there’s no reason to believe it will stop here. Enough is enough.”
“I hope Americans will understand why a father and a President would come to this decision”.
It sounds like Joe Biden thinks his son Hunter was treated unfairly by the justice system. Do you think Hunter should have been convicted and sentenced to prison like any other criminal, or do you agree with the pardon?
