
Biden, Blinken, Alvin Bragg, and several other government officials have had their access to confidential information denied, their security clearances have been revoked.
On Saturday, February 8th, Trump has removed of security clearances held by President Biden and a number of prominent government officials, including Antony Blinken, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, and New York Attorney General Letitia James, who have been outspoken critics of the former president.
Media news outlets, and social platform X, report that in addition to Biden, those losing his clearances, others included are Antony Blinken, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, and New York Attorney General Letitia James, former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, along with attorneys Andrew Weissmann, Mark Zaid, and Norm Eisen.
What is a security clearance? Security clearance is the authority to handle confidential information. A security clearance provides individuals the permission to access sensitive information.
This decision follows the immediate action taken by Trump on his first day in office to revoke Biden’s security clearance and access to presidential resources.
