California wildfires rage in The Pacific Palisades, thousands of homes demolished and evacuated. Updated map of the wildfires.

The Pacific Palisades area of California has suffered devastating wildfires, damaging numerous properties including the home of reality stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag. Their residence was consumed by flames on Tuesday, January 7th, amidst the fierce fire that swept through this celebrity-populated neighborhood.

A significant brush fire encompassing approximately 1,200 acres ignited in the Palisades early that morning, unfortunately leading to the destruction of Spencer and Heidi’s home as the wildfire advanced through the region.

Fortunately, the couple, noted for their appearances on The Hills, managed to evacuate their family safely prior to the blaze escalating. Prior to their departure, Spencer shared an Instagram Story depicting firefighting crews battling the flames, utilizing aerial water drops on the nearby hills.

Actor James Woods captured intense footage of the wildfires from his residence in the perilously affected area. His clip showed firefighters relentlessly engaged in safeguarding the surroundings, as reports surfaced that the Getty Villa Museum was already ablaze due to the advancing fire in Pacific Palisades.

Other notable residences, including those of Tom Hanks, Jennifer Aniston, Paris Hilton, Bradley Cooper, and Reese Witherspoon, were also said to be jeopardized by the wildfire, which left many residents feeling trapped, according to the Mirror US. Celebrities like Miles Teller and Keleigh, Adam Sandler, Steve Guttenberg, and Michael Keaton all reside nearby, sharing similar concerns.

In response to the escalating situation, California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency for both Ventura and Los Angeles counties on Tuesday, highlighting the gravity of the crisis. (NPR)

With around 30,000 individuals facing evacuation orders and over 13,000 structures currently at risk, officials from the Los Angeles Fire Department, led by Chief Kristin Crowley, emphasized the urgent need for action. Governor Newsom acknowledged witnessing many homes already lost to the inferno.

As of now, details regarding the total number of structures affected by the wildfires remain undetermined, and the cause behind the fire is still under investigation. Reports indicated that burn victims were seen leaving a Malibu neighborhood seeking safety by the beachfront around 9 p.m. the same night.

Governor Newsom has issued a caution to residents throughout Southern California against complacency, revealing the potential for severe winds between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Red Flag warnings will remain in effect across much of Southern California until Thursday afternoon, impacting nearly 100,000 homes and businesses that are currently without power.
