Trump discusses the U.S. taking ownership of Gaza with Israeli Prime Minister

Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu

During a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, discussions revolved around the latest ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, as well as ideas for the future, Iran’s influence in the region, and the resettlement of Gaza residents in other countries.

President Trump proposed an idea: permanently relocating displaced Palestinians from Gaza to other nations, while suggesting that the U.S. should take charge of redeveloping the area.

He envisioned transforming the Gaza Strip into “the Riviera of the Middle East,” a place where people from around the world, including Palestinians, could reside.

“I think it’s worthwhile really pursuing,” commented Netanyahu, expressing interest in the proposal.

Netanyahu was the first international leader to visit the White House and meet with Trump since his inauguration last month.
