Rep. Al Green (D-TX): “The movement to impeach the president has begun. I rise to announce that I will bring Articles of Impeachment against the president for dastardly deeds proposed and dastardly deeds done.”(C-SPAN)

All Green is referring to a meeting between Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu, Trump proposed an idea about Gaza—suggesting that the U.S. could take ownership of the region and undertake extensive rebuilding efforts to restore it to a livable state. Currently, the Gaza Strip is damaged and heavily affected by conflict.

Al Green expressed his concerns about Trump’s announcement regarding the Gaza Strip. 

On Wednesday, Al Green revealed his intention to introduce articles of impeachment, highlighting fears of “ethnic cleansing” in light of Trump’s suggestion that the United States should assume control over Gaza. 

The announcement of the impeachment has sparked reactions on social media, with many doubting that impeachment will actually happen.

One comment on X social media stated “that was fast” referring to the fact that it has only been a few weeks since Trump’s inauguration.
