House passes a bill to deport illegal migrants convicted of sexual assault. Most Democrats voted against the bill.

Washington, D.C. – After casting his vote in favor of Congresswoman Nancy Mace’s (R-SC-01) Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act, Congressman Nathaniel Moran (R-TX-01) issued a statement detailing his support for the measure that passed the House on Thursday.

(moran.house.gov) In his remarks, he highlighted the issues at the southern border over the past four years, emphasizing a troubling lack of action from the current Administration.

He expressed concerns over the ongoing crisis, which he believes endangers communities and places illegal aliens’ rights above those of American citizens.

Moran further conveyed his pride in the approval of H.R. 30, noting that the act establishes criteria that render certain aliens inadmissible if they are convicted of, admit to, or acknowledge committing acts that meet the definition of sexual offenses as outlined in the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006.

By introducing new standards for inadmissibility and removability, along with expanding existing criteria for individuals guilty of sex offenses and domestic violence, this legislation aims to create safer environments for Americans, prevent further victimization, and expel dangerous criminals from the country.

Congresswoman Mace also emphasized the need for such protection, referencing the tragic experiences of families impacted by violence. She explained the demand for safety in communities, expressing regret that many legislators do not share this priority, particularly pointing to the 145 Democratic representatives who oppose measures like hers.

The bill passed because majority Republicans voted for it. Most Democrats opposed the bill to deport sexual predators or criminal illegal migrants.

Mace argued that it is fundamentally reasonable to keep dangerous illegal immigrants from both the nation and local neighborhoods. She stressed that every woman should feel secure walking the streets and that families deserve to thrive without the threat of violence nearby.

This legislation proposes amendments to the Immigration and Nationality Act, aiming to render illegal immigrants who have committed or acknowledged their involvement in sex offenses or instances of domestic violence inadmissible and subject to deportation from the U.S.

Why would anyone vote against a bill that deports illegal migrants convicted of sexual assault crimes, why would Democratic majority vote against the bill? Comment below.
